He's back. The man full of compassion. Steven Curtis Chapman releases Beauty Will Rise. This is his first album since the tragic accident that took his daughter's life.

Since 1987, Steven Curtis Chapman has become a leader as a singer and songwriter of inspirational music. His music soothed the grieving hearts of the world after September 11, 2001. The world grieved with him after the tragic accident that took his daughter, Maria Sue Chapman, in 2008. Time to rise up again and inspire once more. Beauty Will Rise, produced by Sparrow records will be available November 3, 2009.

Beauty Will Rise

After the death of his daughter, Steven thought he might never have the strength or the passion to sing live on stage again. However God and time heals all wounds. Beauty Will Rise is a collection of 12 new songs created over the past 15 months as Steven walked the journey through the grief process. These are songs of heartfelt emotion. Throughout the album, lyrics express praise, grief, hope and love.

For The Sake Of The Call

The world was introduced to Steven Curtis Chapman in 1987 with the release of his first album, First Hand. The song, Weak Days, from that album peaked at #2 on the Contemporary Christian Music charts in 1988. That same year, his second album, Real Life Conversations, had another hit song, His Eyes. This time, it reached #1 on the charts and earned the Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year award from the Gospel Music Association in 1989. Steven Curtis Chapman also won the GMA award for Songwriter of the Year in 1989. He was off to a good start.

Success continued to follow Steven with more albums like More to This Life and For the Sake of the Call. All of these albums featured several #1 hit singles, and were awarded several GMA Awards. For the Sake of the Call earned Steven Curtis Chapman his first Grammy.

In 1992, Steven Curtis Chapman made a successful move from just a Gospel artists into a more recognized mainstream artist with his album The Great Adventure. He won two more Grammys.This album received gold status in 1993. The success of the Great Adventure inspired Steven to record one of his concerts. The Live Adventure was released both as a both video and a CD.

Steven continued climbing the charts non-stop over the next few years with the release of several more albums like Heaven in the Real World, Signs of Life and Speechless. By the time Steven released Declaration, in 2001, he was regarded as one of the most inspirational artists both on the Christian charts as well as the Pop charts.

Family Man

God and family mean everything to Steven Curtis Chapman. Steven is a devout Christian. He married his wife, Mary Beth in 1984. They have three biological children and adopted three young girls from China. Maria Sue Chapman, the sweet girl who inspired the song, Cinderella, was one of those little girls from China. In May 2008, while the family was celebrating both a graduation and an engagement, one of their sons accidentally backed over little Maria in the family's driveway. He just didn't see her. The world has mourned with Steven and Mary Beth over the last 18 months.

Steven and Mary Beth Chapman are recognized advocates for adoption. Together, they founded Shaohannah's Hope, a charity organization which offers grants to qualifying families to help defray the cost of adopting, at home and abroad. In 2001, they were awarded the Congressional Angels in Adoption award by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) in Washington, D.C.

LiveStream Events and Tours Planned

Starting November 3, 2009, Steven Curtis Chapman will partner up with LiveStream to promote Beauty Will Rise. He's scheduled to be interviewed on several national radio programs. KLOVE will interview him on November 17, 2009.

The world will see and hear more from Steven Curtis Chapman in the days to come. To raise awareness of the orphan crisis in the world, he will host a free concert in Nashville, Tennessee, on November 8, 2009. He will appear on several television shows including Larry King Live on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009. Steven begins touring again November 6, 2009.

He's been there for the world as the world struggles with pain, loss and suffering. Now the world welcomes him back with open arms. This new album will touch the lives of all parents. Mothers and Fathers around the world will relate to the love he expresses for his children and his family and for God through these lyrics. Beauty Will Rise will no doubt rise on the Billboard charts and the single, Heaven is the Face, on this album will be a new #1 hit. May God get the glory.
